Tow figures are represented. The first is a bar chart which
describes the percentages of films shown in the UK and Australia in 2000.
The bar
chart shows that 75% of films shown in Britain were made in the USA while only
20% of films shown were British. On the other hand, 68% of films that were
shown in Australia were US films and only 10% of films were Australian. Regarding
to the line graph, it is obvious that there was an increase in cinema
attendance in both countries British and Australia. The cinema attendance in Britain
decreased dramatically from 100 million to 50 million between 1980 and 1982. However
the number increased rapidly in 1986 to reach 110 million in the UK. On the
other hand, the cinema attendance in Australia remained quite stable between
1980 and 1990 at 40 million audiences. In the period 1988-2000 it can be seen
that the cinema attendance started to increase slightly till it reached 150
million in Britain and 90 million in Australia.
In conclusion,
it can be seen that the cinema attendance increased in both countries and the
most common films are US films.
